After sharing the above quilt with my critique group and sensing some discomfort, I dreamt a classic panic dream. I found myself back in high school, wandering the halls naked, unable to find my locker and late for class! It demanded to be made into a quilt.

KWAN YIN is a Bodhisattva known throughout Asia as “She Who Hears the Cries of the World”. A BODHISATTVA is an "enlightened being" who has earned the right to leave this world of suffering and enter nirvana, but has chosen instead to stay on Earth to instruct others to until all beings are enlightened. Shrines dedicated to her can be found not only in China, but in Burma, Cambodia, Indonesia, Korea, Japan, Laos, Malaysia, Singapore, Thailand and Viet Nam, in Buddhist, Taoist and Confucian temples. Over 3,600 yards of rayon thread were used to create this piece.
